Fondazione CRT
Care, Growth, Wonder
For thirty-five years, we have stood alongside the communities of Piedmont and the Aosta Valley, guided by our belief in care, growth and wonder—for people and for the places they call home.
We believe in shared values that become true drivers of social and economic transformation.
We support young talent.
We enhance artistic and cultural heritage.
We promote research, education and welfare.
We protect the environment.
We foster innovation.
We invest in projects that generate measurable economic, social and environmental value.
With a clear mission: to promote sustainable and inclusive development for a fairer, more responsible future.
To be truly close to people and the places they live.
Founded in 1991, Fondazione CRT is Italy’s third-largest banking foundation by assets.
Since its establishment, it has awarded more than €2 billion to support over 50,000 projects in the fields of art, research, education, welfare, the environment and innovation across North-West Italy, with a national and international outlook.
Fondazione CRT also pioneers initiatives based on the principles of impact investing, generating measurable social and environmental impact. One of Europe’s leading examples is the urban regeneration of OGR Torino (Officine Grandi Riparazioni), the former railway repair workshops restored by the Foundation. Through an investment of more than €100 million, the site has been transformed into an innovative international hub for art and culture, scientific, technological and industrial research, and food.
Fondazione CRT is also an active member of the leading international philanthropy networks, including Impact Europe and Philea (Philanthropy Europe Association), which brings together more than 10,000 European and American philanthropic foundations and organisations.
