“Il mio posto nel mondo” is a project conceived and supported by the Fondazione CRT, aimed at enhancing out-of-school-time initiatives. In particular, it seeks to:

• facilitate access to summer camps, before-school, and after-school programs by reducing enrollment costs for children and young people from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds;
• strengthen educational offerings with specific focuses on Italian as a second language (L2), STEM subjects, career guidance, nutrition education, support for dietary needs, and the inclusion of children and young people who require individualized support.

The goal is to support organizations operating in local communities in order to provide:

• families, especially those facing socioeconomic challenges, with a concrete and ongoing solution to the issue of time outside school hours, helping them better balance work and family life;
• children and young people from these families with access to high-quality educational, recreational, and workshop-based activities. Participants in activities funded through this call are expected to be between 3 and 18 years of age.

Originally launched as a pilot project in 2020 in response to the educational emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, My Place in the World expanded in subsequent years through increasingly broad experimentation and became a formal funding call in 2025. Between 2020 and 2025, it enabled more than 34,000 children and young people to attend summer camps and after-school programs.
