Santuari e Comunità Project

Santuari e Comunità ” (Sanctuaries and Communities) is the project of Fondazione CRT for the restoration and enhancement of Sanctuaries in Piedmont and Aosta Valley.

The project deals with innovative proposals that combine three elements: restoration and recovery of Sanctuaries; social inclusion and social gathering initiatives; cultural and tourism promotion actions for local socio-economic development.

The projects are carried out in partnership with non-profit associations working in the social and cultural fields. The projects presented by the Dioceses of Aosta, Alba, Asti, Biella, Casale Monferrato, Fossano, Ivrea, Mondovì, Pinerolo, Saluzzo, Susa, Turin and Vercelli are currently being implemented or developed. The projects of the Dioceses of Cuneo, Novara and Tortona have been completed.

“Sanctuaries and Communities – Stories that come together” foresees a total allocation by Fondazione CRT of over 4 million euros, with a maximum contribution for each Sanctuary of 250,000 euros, divided as follows: about 80% for recovery work, about 15% for cultural and social initiatives and about 5% for doubling the donations raised through fundraising.

«Fondazione CRT relaunches the innovative challenge of “Sanctuaries and Community”, based on the synergy between the different forces of the territory – says the President of Fondazione CRT Giovanni QuagliaThis project aims to enhance the Sanctuaries as places of cohesion and rebuild relationships in the community: two very important aims in this historical moment marked by fragmentation and social fraying».
