Thematic Call for Community Regeneration in Small Municipalities of Piedmont and Aosta Valley through the Activation of Community Spaces as Hubs for Youth Engagement
The Legàmi in Comune call supports community regeneration initiatives in small municipalities across Piedmont and Aosta Valley by activating municipal spaces as hubs for youth engagement, civic participation, and active citizenship.
The initiative promotes projects that transform unused or underused municipal buildings into welcoming community spaces, encouraging the involvement of young people under the age of 35, collaboration among public authorities, Third Sector organisations, schools, and associations, and the development of lasting local partnerships.
By supporting both the activation of these spaces and the activities carried out within them, the call aims to strengthen the social capital of small municipalities, creating new opportunities for community gathering, participation, and local development.
In 2026, the Welfare and Territory Area of Fondazione CRT is dedicating the autumn season to the small municipalities of Piedmont and Aosta Valley: communities that preserve the quality of local life while also facing the demographic, social, and environmental changes of recent years more intensely than larger urban centres.
A Double Opportunity
Legàmi in Comune is one of the two calls through which, in autumn 2026, the Welfare and Territory Area of Fondazione CRT supports the small municipalities of Piedmont and Aosta Valley. Together with Piccoli Comuni – Cantieri per l’Ambiente e il Territorio (see the Piccoli Comuni call page), dedicated to environmental protection and hydrogeological risk prevention, it contributes to a shared strategy that combines community development with the enhancement and protection of local territories.
