{"id":7686,"date":"2024-01-12T11:15:20","date_gmt":"2024-01-12T10:15:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fondazionecrt.it\/techstars-smart-cities-ogr-2023\/"},"modified":"2023-03-13T13:09:37","modified_gmt":"2023-03-13T12:09:37","slug":"techstars-smart-cities-ogr-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fondazionecrt.it\/en\/techstars-smart-cities-ogr-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Torino Cities of the Future Techstars Accelerator"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>13 weeks to accelerate the startups of tomorrow&#8217;s cities.<\/h4>\n<h4><em>For the fourth consecutive year, OGR Torino is the headquarters of &#8220;Torino Cities of the Future Techstars Accelerator.&#8221;<\/em><\/h4>\n<h4><em>Selected 11 European startups with high growth potential in a range of sectors: from mobility to sustainability, from education to edutech, from AI to platforms for conscious animal adoption.<\/em><\/h4>\n<p><strong>OGR Torino<\/strong> as a supporting partner is confirmed for the fourth consecutive year as the headquarters of the<em> &#8220;Torino Cities of the Future Techstars Accelerator&#8221;<\/em> program, promoted by <strong>Fondazione CRT, Compagnia di San Paolo, and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center<\/strong> in collaboration with the U.S.-based accelerator <strong>Techstars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The 11 European startups-including five Italian ones-as well as receiving funding, are supported in their strategic choices and validation of market hypotheses.<\/p>\n<p>Participating in the 2023 edition are <strong>Pack, Tutornow, Wibo, Heloola, Empethy<\/strong> (Italian); <strong>Artificient, Automatika Robotics, Intuitivo, Preflet, Sirius, a Dutch startup, and Sorair<\/strong> (European realities).<\/p>\n<p>Since its arrival at OGR, Techstars has raised more than <strong>$70,000,000 in funding,<\/strong> generating more than <strong>400 jobs<\/strong> at the end of the journey, supporting startups to consolidate their innovative idea by acquiring entrepreneurial skills through a 13-week journey.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>The future is in the cities, and it also comes to life thanks to the innovation programs we support every day. The collaboration with Techstars accelerator,\u00a0 for the fourth consecutive year, is an important confirmation of Fondazione CRT and OGR Torino&#8217;s commitment to innovation with high social <em>The new frontier for the development of the cities of the future is outlined according to fair, equitable and positive growth in environmental, social and economic terms, and each of the 11 startups selected this year contributes to defining and expanding concrete possibilities, within the logic of an urban context richer in opportunities for all.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to data from the Italian Private Equity, Venture Capital and Private Debt Association (AIFI), the Italian venture capital industry recorded investments of 1.8 billion euros in 2022, an increase of 48 percent over 2021, thanks to the increasing number of startups founded in the country and the growing interest of investors.<\/p>\n<h3>THE 11 SELECTED STARTUPS<\/h3>\n<p>Among the selected Italian startups are some companies that are opening new avenues to edu-tech and new digital tools for the publishing world and the animal world:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/thepack.tech\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Pack<\/strong><\/a> an HR-Tech platform that fosters employee retention and growth within companies;<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tutornow.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Tutornow<\/a><\/strong> through which it is possible to offer or search for repetitions of any school subject;<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wibo.app\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Wib<\/a>o<\/strong> with the aim of making corporate training a totally new and memorable experience;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/heloola.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Heloola<\/strong><\/a>, an independent digital book club that offers a new experience of reading and sharing ideas and opinions;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.empethy.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><strong>Empethy<\/strong><\/a> a platform that allows people to consciously choose and adopt animals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alongside the Italian startups are other European companies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/artificient.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Artificient<\/a><\/strong> a German startup that has created Europe&#8217;s first smart driving app to ensure safer and greener mobility<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/automatikarobotics.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Automatika Robotics<\/a><\/strong> French reality that provides AI driving solutions in unstructured environments;<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.intuitivo.pt\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Intuitivo<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0Portuguese start up that created a digital assessment platform for schools;<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/preflet.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Preflet <\/a><\/strong>Portuguese reality with the goal of reducing the carbon footprint of buildings with AI energy;<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/besirius.io\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sirius <\/a><\/strong> Dutch strat up that aims to decarbonize small businesses;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sorair<\/strong> English reality that through the use of software and robotic technology attempts to automate end-to-end supply
