The measure was approved yesterday by the City Council through a resolution proposed by Mayor Stefano Lo Russo.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Foundation\u2019s contribution amounts to \u20ac7 million and is intended to further strengthen one of the city\u2019s flagship urban regeneration projects within the strategic framework of \u201cTorino Cambia\u201d, which will transform the Valentino area into a new cultural, environmental and social hub for Turin.<\/p>\n<p>The measure authorises an addendum to the agreement signed on 15 December 2025 between the City of Turin and Fondazione CRT, regulating the relationship between the two entities within the framework of the project \u201cTorino Cambia: Spaces that Bring People Together\u201d. The initiative forms part of a broader shared strategy involving the City of Turin, Fondazione CRT and OGR, aimed at enhancing the former Torino Esposizioni complex through a systemic approach based on public-private collaboration. The redevelopment project integrates library services, cultural production, innovation and civic participation, in line with the Foundation\u2019s mission of promoting social utility and local development.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe redevelopment of Valentino Park and the new Central Civic Library are projects in which the City administration strongly believes and has invested considerable resources,\u201d said Stefano Lo Russo, Mayor of Turin. \u201cThey will provide residents and visitors alike with a renewed green space and a cultural and tourism hub of excellence. Our strategic collaboration with Fondazione CRT, based on a system-wide approach and public-private cooperation, is part of a shared institutional path aimed at making the most of this transforming area as a new focal point for participation, culture and innovation in the city.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe intervention in the Valentino area represents another strategic component of the \u2018Torino Cambia\u2019 project,\u201d said Anna Maria Poggi, Chair of Fondazione CRT. \u201cFondazione CRT is providing an additional \u20ac7 million through the reserve fund linked to tax returns, adding to the significant resources already allocated to the City Plan, together with its expertise and organisational capabilities.
