How can they help push back against increasing misinformation?
These are the new challenges facing philanthropy along with growing demands for democracy, equality, social justice and climate action. The Philea Forum 2024 sessions will focus on these issues and explore practical strategies.

FONDAZIONE CRT AT THE PHILEA FORUM

Fondazione CRT has always been active in international networks of philantrophy and will bring its contribution in two sessions:

May 28 – 4.45 pm | Building trust at the local level in multi-stakeholder partnerships for sustainable cities
Major transformations are affecting cities, yet urbanization remains a mega-trend of this century, with the United Nations predicting that nearly 70 percent of the world’s population will live in urban areas by 2050. It is therefore not surprising that philanthropic attention has been turned to urban transformation: foundations can promote social development by investing in collaborative projects and dialogue platforms where diverse voices are heard, respected, and valued. This participatory and inclusive approach can bring innovative solutions that rebuild trust and cooperation in communities by focusing on equity and sustainability in urban development.
The panel will be addressed by Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT, which is a member of the thematic network Funders Forum on Sustainable Cities.

May 29 – 9 am | Guide to EU Projects and Funding at the Agora
An innovative, digital and free compass, an operational tool created to orient oneself in the universe of European funds and planning, the Guide to EU Projects and Funding lands at the Philea Forum. Designed and promoted by Fondazione CRT in partnership with Acri and seven other Italian foundations, the Guide is a manual for project development, a source of up-to-date information and a collector of practical advice. By building bridges between the local and international dimensions, networks and links between projects and resources, it makes European funds and programs more accessible and encourages cooperation and co-design. The goal is to expand the international network and make the platform multilingual to thus facilitate access to EU resources throughout Europe.

The full agenda can be found on the Philea Forum website.

Once again this year, Fondazione CRT takes part in the Philea Forum, in Ghent, Belgium, on May 27-30 to meet foundations from all over Europe and discuss this year’s theme, “Trust and Philanthropy”. 2024 EDITION How can philanthropic institutions and organizations build and maintain the trust of communities?
