The project also strengthens the link between academic research and the business sector, fostering innovation across Piedmont and Valle d\u2019Aosta while keeping pace with developments in the study of complex systems.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2003, the Lagrange Project has supported more than <strong>800 young researchers<\/strong>, with Fondazione CRT investing over <strong>\u20ac44 million<\/strong> overall, making it the Foundation\u2019s largest self-managed scientific initiative.<\/p>\n<h3>APPLIED RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS<\/h3>\n<p>The call awards <strong>10 annual research fellowships<\/strong>, each lasting 12 months, focused on data science and artificial intelligence applied to socially relevant challenges such as public health, humanitarian response, the future of cities, and sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p>Research projects are carried out under the supervision of the Institute\u2019s senior researchers. Established by Fondazione CRT and coordinated by Fondazione ISI \u2013 Institute for Scientific Interchange, it represents one of the flagship initiatives of the Lagrange Project.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2008, the Award has been presented to <strong>internationally renowned scientists<\/strong> who have made groundbreaking contributions to complexity science and data science. Gonz\u00e1lez (Urban and Regional Planning, Civil and Environmental Engineering, USA)<br \/>\n<strong>2025:<\/strong> Iyad Rahwan (Human\u2013Machine Interaction in Contemporary Society)<\/p>\n<h3>THE DATA SCIENCE FOR SOCIAL GOOD CENTER<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>Data Science for Social Good Center<\/strong> is a research center that uses data science and artificial intelligence to better identify needs, guide interventions, and <strong>evaluate the impact<\/strong> of decisions and policies.
