Every family needs a community that supports it.”

Built on this belief, the ULAOP Programme reflects Fondazione CRT’s commitment to children and families by promoting conditions that foster the healthy development of children and the wellbeing of family units, including those facing the greatest challenges.

The Programme builds on the wealth of expertise, relationships and experience developed over more than fifteen years by Fondazione ULAOP CRT in the fields of parenting and childhood, integrating them with the work of Fondazione CRT’s Welfare Area within a broader, more cohesive and impact-oriented framework.

A mosaic of relationships and opportunities

ULAOP was created with the aim of building a system of opportunities and practical tools to support families throughout the different stages of their children’s growth, helping to address the social, educational, economic and relational vulnerabilities that may affect children’s wellbeing.

The Programme promotes caring environments understood as physical, emotional and relational spaces where meaningful connections can flourish. It supports parenting skills and strengthens links among families, services and communities.

Within this framework, the quality of relationships becomes a key element in fostering participation, stability and educational continuity in an increasingly diverse and evolving family landscape.

An integrated programme for family welfare

The ULAOP Programme is part of the strategic actions through which Fondazione CRT promotes social cohesion and community development, with particular attention to situations of greater vulnerability.

The initiative represents the evolution of well-established projects that, over the years, have generated significant results in terms of participation, parenting support and the activation of local networks. These include family-oriented activities developed through OGR Kids & ULAOP, the initiatives of Banco del Sorriso, and parenting support pathways implemented within social housing projects.

Thanks to a network of qualified partners and collaboration with the organisations of the CRT Group, the Programme promotes evidence-based interventions aimed at developing replicable models capable of generating long-term impact and progressively expanding to other areas of Piedmont and the Aosta Valley.

Areas of intervention

The Programme is structured around complementary lines of action designed to address different needs and reach an ever-growing number of families.

Kids 4 Future, an evolution of the OGR Kids & ULAOP model, expands the range of free multidisciplinary activities for children and families, providing accessible educational and cultural experiences.

TANGRAM. Connections That Matter develops structured parenting support pathways and educational and community engagement initiatives within social housing settings, strengthening local networks.

Rete dei Sorrisi (Network of Smiles), building on the experience of Banco del Sorriso, consolidates and expands a model of practical support for families through collaboration with local organisations.

Alongside these strands, the Programme includes additional initiatives dedicated to children and families, contributing to the creation of inclusive and sustainable environments deeply rooted in local communities.

An impact-oriented vision

ULAOP is based on an integrated approach that combines direct support for families, skills development, community engagement and collaboration with local authorities. The Programme also benefits from the contribution of a Scientific Committee, which provides methodological guidance and helps ensure the quality of interventions. Continuous monitoring of outcomes is carried out, with particular attention to inclusion processes and the wellbeing of children.

“Every child needs a family that thrives.
