On Sunday march 20th, the X Parlaympic Winter Games ended. The Russuan athlet won the competition, with 38 medals, 12 of wich where gold medals. Secon place for Germany (24 medals), followed by Canada (19 medals). (more…)

Vancouver Paralympics

Vancouver is hosting the X  Paralympic Winter Games, a huge sport event that has all the support from Fondazione CRT. Also thanks to the Torino 2006 experience, Winter Paralympics has became one of the most important international sport competition, and, for the first time in the Paralympics history, is broadcasted by national networks.

In 9 days, 505 Paralympic athletes, from 44 countries, are competing on alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, ice sledge hockey and wheelchair curling. The Italian delegation is compose by 35 athletes and a guide-athlete (more…)

Vancouver 2010: going beyond… again!

The excitement of the Winter Paralympic  Games lives now in Vancouver as it did in march 2006 in Torino. Fondazione CRT warmly supports the Italian athletes competing with Paralympics athletes from all over the world.

Fondazione CRT was the main partner for the IX Paralympic Winter Games. The spirit of social and civil development that lived in Torino in march 2006, continues to live in the Paralympic Legacy Project, which aims – trough different events about disability – to support and reinforce the idea of an inclusive society.

GPDD – Global Partnership for Disability and Development

The GPDD is the World Bank’s new initiative, dedicated to disability and development. The GPDD works to encourage the inclusion of people with disabilities and their families in the international political agenda, particulary in developing countries where disability is unfortunately still synonymous with poverty  and exclusion. Fondazione ASPHI Onlus
