Fondazione CRT and the Global Partnership for Disability and Development

Within the context of the Paralympic Legacy Project, and in view of the forthcoming edition of the Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver, the CRT Foundation has implemented a series of events both to operate within its own territory and to transfer experiences and know-how to other non-profit organizations.
On the domestic front, it has promoted activities in support of the Italian Paralympic Committee and the Italian athletes, focusing on operations with a long-term effect on the territory and to create extra awareness among the general public, institutions and young people with regard to disability.
Meanwhile, important international partnerships have been established and enterprises have been launched, also in cooperation with the World Bank of Washington DC, via adhesion to the Global Partnership for Disability and Development, with the aim of transmitting its know-how both to potential funding organizations and philanthropic entities and to the organizations which represent the interests of the disabled, disseminating its experience as good practice and promoting intervention in the sector which, like the Torino 2006 Paralympics, guarantee a high return also in terms of image and communication.
Fondazione CRT e il Global Partnership for Disability and Development
Nell’ambito del progetto Paralympic Legacy, e in vista della prossima edizione dei Giochi Paralimpici Invernalei a Vancouver, la Fondazione CRT ha messo in atto una serie di interventi sia per operare sul prorpio territorio sia per ttrasferire esperienze e competenze ad altre organizzazioni no-profit.
Sul fronte interno, sono state promosse attività di sostegno al Comitato Paralimpico Italiano e agli atleti italiani, focalizzandosi su interventi che avessero anche obiettivi di lunga durata sul territorio e di forte sensibilizzazione della cittadinanza, delle istituzioni e dei giovani sui temi dellla diversa abilità .
Nel frattempo si sono stabilite importanti partnership internazionali e avviate iniziative anche in collaborazione con la World Bank di Washington DC, tramite l’adesione alla Global Partnership for Disalbility and Development, allo scopo di trasmettere il proprio know-how sia a potenzioli finanziatori ed enti filantropici, sia a organizzazioni rappresentative degli interessi delle persone disabili, diffondendo la propria esperienza come una good practice e promuovendo interventi nel settore che, analogamente alle Paralimpiadi di Torino 2006, garantiscano un ritorno elevato anche in termini di immagine e comunicazione.
